The name of the Association shall be the ‘North and Mid Wales Association of Local Councils’.
The objects of the Association shall be as follows:
a) To give a forum for member councils to discuss common issues.
b) To respond to relevant consultations with regard to both Parliament and the Welsh Assembly.
c) To support and act upon subjects agreed by the members.
d) To represent members views wherever they are needed.
e) To host a conference on an annual basis.
The overall policy of the Association shall be as contained in the 3 year plan as published and which shall be reviewed each year at the Annual Conference starting in 2014.
Membership of the Association shall be open to any Council (as defined by the Local Government Act 1972) who has an electorate of more than 1,000 at the date of application and which Council is located within Mid or North Wales. (Montgomeryshire, Ceredigion, Conwy, Anglesey, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham and Clwyd).
